The weather was still kind to us as we dared to have a garden party in early September. 25 members of The New Club Cheltenham visited Jane Moyle’s garden in Montpelier Parade, via the ‘Secret Door’ from Montpelier Gardens .There were even more flowers in September than there were in June. This is doubtless thanks to Severn Trent Water, who allowed us to hose the garden many times during the great heat waves of 2026 ! Glorious dahlias of maroon and white intermixed with a profusion of white and pink cosmos and hundreds of other perennials and shrubs were still in full bloom, so the garden was almost at its height. The large weeping willow, the magnificent Robinia and the weeping Silver Birch, added to the garden’s pleasures. Carl and Sean produced a fabulous tea, Lyn and Ryan looked after our every need and we were entertained throughout the afternoon by the Utrillo Jazz Trio, who played popular numbers throughout the afternoon.
