A packed club was decorated with Chinese lights and many mementos of Chinese life throughout the club. Soon members arrived for drinks and chats and we were delighted that Julie Kent MBE joined Marilyn Burn, our Head of House, as a guest. Course after course of Chinese food was laid before the members and they relished it. 

Hoots of laughter were heard and it was agreed ‘The Year of the Snake’ was duly launched!
