The New Club Cheltenham is delighted to be supporting ‘The Big Cancer Space Appeal’ as their chosen charity. This very worthy project aims to completely redesign the present Oncology Department at Cheltenham General Hospital. At present, up to 5,000 patients a year have to visit the Oncology Department from Gloucestershire Worcestershire, Herefordshire and South Wales. Patients are seen in tiny rooms with the oncologist and there is not even room for a partner. They may be told devastating news and then they have to go into a large fully lit hall, full of other patients which lacks privacy completely. A total of £9 million has to be raised, and The New Club Cheltenham is doing all they can to help its ultimate goal
